Attalla Veterans
From our Hometown to the Frontlines
Recognizing All Those Who Served
The City of Attalla is proud to recognize the men and women from our community who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces. From the battlefields of distant wars to humanitarian missions abroad, Attalla’s veterans have stood ready to defend our freedoms and protect our way of life. This page is dedicated to telling their stories, preserving their legacy, and ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.
History & Legacy
Attalla’s history is deeply intertwined with military service. During World War II, our city and surrounding areas were home to Camp Siebert, a major training center for the U.S. Chemical Warfare Service. Many young men and women from Attalla served in every branch of the military—some never returning home. Over the decades, our veterans have continued to answer the call, serving in Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan, and beyond. Today, their commitment to duty remains a source of pride for our entire community.
Honoring Individuals & Families
Every name on our veterans’ roll represents a story of courage, sacrifice, and love for country. This page serves as a living memorial, where future generations can learn about the individuals who served and the families who supported them. Through photographs, personal accounts, and historical records, we aim to create a lasting tribute to those who gave their time, their health, and in some cases, their lives for the greater good.
